Private Lessons

Purpose: Taught by volunteer teachers who have completed training in Japanese language instruction,
these courses give students a small group atmosphere with instruction tailored to suit students’ individual levels and needs.
Location: FIA Plaza and other public facilities
Time: Sun to Sat from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
(except on national holidays, Obon holidays and year-end & New Year holidays).
Specific days are determined through consultation between student and teacher.
Textbooks: Course materials are determined according to students’ Japanese proficiency.
These materials, as well as photocopies, are paid for by the student.
Course fee: (4 lessons a month)

for private lessons 3,000 yen
for group lessons of 2 or more 2,000 yen(per person)
Absence: Please inform your instructor as far in advance as possible in the event that you are going to be absent, and no later than the day before.
Applying: Please fill out and submit the application form available at the FIA Plaza.
Lessons typically start within 1-2 weeks of applying.
