Learning Japanese
Systematic Japanese courses
Here at the FIA, we offer systematic elementary Japanese courses that introduce students to the very grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills that they need in everyday life in Japan.
Through these courses, we hope to contribute to the deepening of understanding between foreign and Japanese residents, and to create a smoother, cooperative day-to-day life for all denizens of Fukui.
Private Japanese Lessons
These small-group lessons are designed for those who have completed the elementary course, or are unable to attend the systematic course due to scheduling conflicts.
Held at FIA Plaza.
Volunteer Japanese Language Instruction Organizations
We are pleased to introduce you to volunteer organizations committed to teaching Japanese to foreign residents.
Information & Consultation Corner
We offer consultation services;
internet access free of charge (30 mins/day/person);
book lending services; magazines, newspapers, and other periodicals on reserve;
embassy forms and materials; information on international exchange, cooperation, and understanding;
and a DVD and video viewing corner.
General Consultation Session with Professional Counselors for Foreign Residents

Share your worries and concerns with professional counselors in your native language.
Consultation, free of charge, with administrative clerks on matters of immigration and residency.
Date & time: 1st Sat of every months, 13:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. Reservations required.
(2nd if the 1st Sat falls on a national holiday)
